“Beautiful Botanic Gardens”
The Adelaide Botanic Gardens are still as lovely as when we would go there in the school holidays when we were children. I have always taken my children there and now I take my grandchildren and they always ask to go there in the school holidays. They love the water features and always want to take their shoes off and play in the water. The lily pond and the natural history museum within the park is also popular as well as the huge expanses of grassed areas and the magnificent trees which they l查看详情

“A MUST- with free admission: pleasant walks, shady picnic areas, lakes and water features, and a ra
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is a short stroll from the CBD, and it is adjacent to the River Torrens Linear Park and the Zoo.

It comprises a variety of gardens, including a herb and medicinal plant garden, tropical plant conservatory, palm house, waterlily pavilion, native plant garden, Mediterranean plant garden, and a magnificent shady wisteria arbour.

In addition, there's a restaurant and two cafes.

It's a great place for a stroll, or a family picnic.

“a better place to spend your time than rundle street”
An oddball collection of pavilions and greenhouses some dating back a century and some just a few years are dotted around these beautiful gardens. Parrots, Cockatoos and Parakeets are plentiful. The avenue of figs is possibly the tree highlight. There is also the South Australia Wine Visitor Centre (I may have the title wrong) where you can learn all about the local wines and taste them. If you leave by the Botanic Park exit you can continue your walk along the river back into the centre of town查看详情

“Beautiful gardens”
I really enjoyed these beautiful gardens. If you can, go when the rose garden is in full bloom. The gardens are fairly large and diverse, and are a great place to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon.查看详情

“lovely”
large botanic gardens 10 min walk from city centre. It is a great place to go for a picinic on a warm day, a stroll around the rose garden, exploring the jungle in the greenhouse, and there is plenty of shady areas to hide from the Aussie sun.

I really should go mroe often!查看详情

“work in progress”
It is currently having a bit of a face lift so there is empty patches here and there, and I was sad to see the edible garden gone - hopefully they are moving it. But it is a great way to spend a day at leisure. And going to the conservatory is very interesting. Definatly would set aside 4 hours to wander through.

Every other year I buy a membership because my child and her cousin love to go. When we heard that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was coming to town we were excited even though it never went to space. Long story short, you don't get to go inside the shuttle. There is very little interactive displays. My sister went to see the one in Washington DC, she read more went inside and it was free.

The rest of the museum is as fantastic as ever. The family still enjoys it.
