Seven Mile Beach
Seven Mile Beach
“Seven miles...of beach!”
Being from Scotland finding a beach this beautiful and clean is incredible.
Small distance from Hobart so unsure how easy this would be to get to on public transport but once there, totally unspoilt, plenty of views, so much free beach (all 7 miles) so plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of walking distance.
As a tourist also interesting to be able to see the planes come in to Hobart Airport at the far end of the beach as well.
Wonderful day chilling out on this beauti
“Fantastic place to walk on te bech”
The each s easily accessible after a quick, scenic drive from Hobart. The surrounding countryside and dunes provide an interesting environment for an exiting walk on the beach. What a beautiful place...

“Extensive clean beach”
Lovely long beach, clean and unspoilt, very quiet when I visited. Bit of a hike from Hobart, but worth the journey.
“Seven Mile Beach”
One of the most relaxed places I have been. It is a little out of the way, but a great central place to stay if wanting to do day trip on to the East Coast of Tasmania.

We had a couple of hours to wait before our flight and used the time to take a thoroughly enjoyable walk along this beach.
“Not a "Must See"”
Nice enough beach right next to the airport, very uncrowded. Can be noisy with planes going overhead. The day I was there it was a light swell so no waves to speak of. Great though for kids to run on.
OK to kill a bit of time on the way to the airport but many other areas I'd head to first.
Such a long and beautiful beach! very interesting as just over the mountain it is farland - unusual to have the farm right next to the beach! but very lovely and you can also camp and stay in accommodation close by to get close to nature :)
Its a wonderful summer beach, not too busy especially on weekdays. It doesn't have coral but the sand is white and the sea clean. Don't tell too many people about it, we quite like it quiet. =)
“Natural Australian beauty”
Tasmania is a sleepy destination with not much going on after dark but the natural beauty of the 'Apple Isle' is truly something to admire. Rent a house by the beach or drive and drive to your heart's content and find poppy plantations, art and craft markets, orchards, beaches teeming with life - and oysters growing on the rocks. ...there's a shortage of people, but no shortage of nature to enjoy.
“A beach in suburbia the tasmanian way”
Seven Mile was once a retreat from the hastle and bustle of suburban life but the suburbs have pushed out past seven mile now but dont expect to see many people unless the surf is pumping. It is still a quite sea side town with a caravan park and on site vans definitly not over crowed.

“Lovely black shell collecting”
An almost deserted beach with low waves ideal for little kids - fine sand and ice cold water like everywhere in Tassie - wakes you up after tanning too long!
We went on the 13th may and it was COLD COLD COLD but the kids in the water didnt mind the swell was up and they were having fun so we ate oysters from Barilla's resturant and soaked up the clean crisp air.
“Not Impressed with Clarance Council's Anti Dog Direction”
Yes, this is and SHOULD be a fabulous stretch of sand for basic beach activities, for it is neither the most beautiful, widest, waviest nor most pristine beach on the island, yet as such is the ideal place for people to run off steam, whether on foot, horseback or with their well-behaved dogs. This stretch of sand is narrow, and almost vanishes when the tide is high, so is not the perfect family beach, it is also directly under the flight path to Hobart International Airport, so is never going t
Great place for a BBQ and swim. Not many people. Toilet facilties.
“Deff Stop On Way Past Airport”
This beach is a nice surfers beach! Sand dunes and surf with Aero planes fling over you as you enjoy the scenery and warm waters in summer.

Every other year I buy a membership because my child and her cousin love to go. When we heard that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was coming to town we were excited even though it never went to space. Long story short, you don't get to go inside the shuttle. There is very little interactive displays. My sister went to see the one in Washington DC, she
went inside and it was free.
The rest of the museum is as fantastic as ever. The family still enjoys it.
