“Well planned and kept gardens”
While relatively small for Botanical Gardens, these are very well planned and beautifully maintained. There is a wide variety of different sections making you feel that you are in gardens of some extraordinary size. Well worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle associated with travel.

The cafe/restaurant looks over the gardens and provides a wonderful place to sit, eat and enjoy a drink.

“Lunch time”
Lovely meal and a great setting in the centre of the Botanical Gardens in Hobart. A place to truly relax over a nice meal. A walk in the gardens after lunch is a must.

“A delightful oasis by a beautiful river”
The Hobart Botanical Gardens are an absolute delight, particularly in Spring and early summer. Their rose and iris displays are stunning riots of colour. We particularly enjoyed the Japanese garden with its water features and pavilion, right next to the French fountain.
One unusual feature of the Gardens is the sub-antarctic room which is chilled to represent the damp and mossy environment of Australia's sub-antarctic islands in the Southern Ocean.
We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon tea in 查看详情

“Good for free”
There's not much open on Christmas day in Hobart but the gardens are, and they're free (gold coin donations welcomed). Well kept and plenty of space to picnic.

“Beautiful day in the park - Cafe very average”
I would suggest taking your own picnic as the service at the cafe is average. The gardens are beautiful, lots to see and experience. Will also be lovely once the carousel is back up and running. Well worth a visit.

“Beautiful”
This is a beautiful and fairly intimate botanical garden (not being so large as others I've been to). Very well kept and grown and a nice place to spend a couple of hours. In particular I liked the Japanese Garden and area around the lily pond.

“Beautiful Gradens”
A beatifully laid out botanic garden - don't miss the Monet lily pond and bridge. We were blessed with a very sunny day which highlighted the flower displays.

Every other year I buy a membership because my child and her cousin love to go. When we heard that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was coming to town we were excited even though it never went to space. Long story short, you don't get to go inside the shuttle. There is very little interactive displays. My sister went to see the one in Washington DC, she read more went inside and it was free.

The rest of the museum is as fantastic as ever. The family still enjoys it.
