“Good ol' home cooking”
Ordered the sai oua sausage and it came out piping hot, unlike some places which serve it cold. It was meaty and spicy. The banana blossom salad with shrimp came in a tangy dressing. The grilled pork with herbs was equally yummy. This is the only place in the one week we were in Chiang Mai that we came across brown rice. All that with a large Chang came to Bht300.
“Great value little restaurant”
Had a very nice meal here. Comprehensive menu. I normally find myself ordering the same dishes so I asked the young water to choose the dishes he'd order if he took his partner out to dinner. He came up trumps with ribs. Papaya salad and a glass noodles dish. He also offered lots of Thai tips on how I should romance my girlfriend! A fun an memorable meal - the salad was the best I've had in years, well done the moat and thank you for a fun and memorable meal.
“Great Thai food with prices and view to match”
I have been coming here for lunch for a number of years and have seen the restaurant go through a number of different changes. What is consistent, however, is the quality of the Thai food, range of dishes, friendliness of the staff and cheap prices. I always order the same dishes, chicken pad thai wrapped in an omelette and stir fried beef with oyster sauce and rice. This is followed by a coffee or two and a couple of hours watching the people go by on the moat and catching up with the local new
“Ideal place to eat in Chiang Mai”
Really enjoyed eating here. Went a second time with a group and the waiter kindly arranged the tables so our group could sit together. All food and drink was fantastic, waiter went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy with everything. They also split the bills without us even asking so it made eating as a group much easier. Price is a bonus too, nice and cheap and lots of variety.
“Great range, great prices & great food”
Happened on this by chance- huge menu, very accommodating for vegetarians and meat eaters too. 243 food options, 72 drink options. Writing this review on their wifi! We had the tastes of northern Thailand platter which was amazing and papaya salad which was delicious (and spicy! - ask for not spicy if you are not keen on spice). Accompanied our meal with Thai tea. Most dishes are between 40 and 80 baht.
We stumbled across thi little gem when walking around the area we were staying. It looked quiet so we hesitated but we said why not! The menu was vast with plenty of options. We had spare ribs which were fab and for mains we both had chicken noodles and we thought it was the best Thai food to date. We also had 3 beers and dessert and it was 480baht in total so under €10. The service was pleasant, The food was fantastic and it wa superb value. If you get the chance try it.
Très accueillant et on y mange très bien. la carte propose un large choix. Les prix sont très faible compte tenu de la qualité.
We stayed at the famous Shangri La and the food at The Moat tasted better than the hotels ala carte meals. It's a little spot so you will have to look for it, but your belly will thankyou. Airconditioned, clean and very polite service with English speaking capabilities.
“Moat Bar, you're a star!”
Khao Soi noodles and spring rolls best in Chiang Mai! Absoloutely fantastic food with great music and very attentive wait staff. Definitely worth a try while in Chiang Mai!
This is a nice restaurant situated right on the main road in Chiang Mai, the food is lovely and cheap too. They have a nice outdoor eating area and in aircondtioned inside area. The smiling staff are friendly and are really happy to see you when you come back again. The only thing some may not like about this restaurant is the small stall next door that sells durian - if you know durian then you know the smell is not the best, we decided to eat inside because of that. Don't let that put you off

Every other year I buy a membership because my child and her cousin love to go. When we heard that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was coming to town we were excited even though it never went to space. Long story short, you don't get to go inside the shuttle. There is very little interactive displays. My sister went to see the one in Washington DC, she
went inside and it was free.
The rest of the museum is as fantastic as ever. The family still enjoys it.
