I was at first not really in to visit Doi Pui. However, it was a
noce surprise. At our arrival, we had 2 little local girls who
proposed us to be our guide ! They were cute, funny and happy to
show us what they like. I have to say that without them, the visit
would not have been the same. It was nice to see how local live,
and dress like them to take some pictures. We had a different
feeling about life after visiting that small village.查看详情

“Nice place”
My favourite place on doi suthep was the first waterfall, I
forget it's name. If you keep climbing up the rocks you get to a
perfect place to sit in it, which is the most refreshing thing
ever, especially in the heat.
The temple at the top is ok, be warned there's a serious amount of
steps to climb, to then discover its 30 baht each for
foreigners.
What disappointed me, not just at this temples but most of the
others I went to as well, was seeing monks with laptops, cameras
and mobile phones. Wo查看详情

“Quite a ride & worth it!”
Everyone says this is a beautiful place and that it is! The
tuk-tuk ride up the windy hills was an experience in itself. Our
driver seemed to think that the best way to deal with all of the
quick curves was to take them as quickly as possible. Everyone in
the truck was feeling queasy by the time we arrived. Then you walk
up 8 million steps once you arrive to get to the Wat. The temple
and sculptures are beautiful and the view is not to be missed. Many
souvenir ships and food stalls as well. The 查看详情

“Small place of the hill tribe's life”
The hill tribe kids were all around, trying to ask you to take a
photo with them as an exchange for a little money. The fall is
quite small somehow. There is nothing much to see in this
village.查看详情

“Not Worth Going”
As experienced travellers we found Doi Sut Hep and the Buddha a
bit dissapointing. The best was the overview of the city. The top
of Doi Sut Hep is equipped with tourist stalls and shows.查看详情

“Nice temple and views from atop Chiang Mai”
Tip.... you can take a Red Bath bus up from west of the gate for
50 baht a person instead of paying a 1000 baht for tour or taxi.
This Was my 3rd visit and on a clear day it can be spectacular. The
only set back is that it is a the windiest road going up and you
feel a bit dizzy going up. Don't miss going to the king's home a
bit further up.查看详情

“One of my favorite temples in all of
Thailand”
Beautiful temple perched high on a mountainside overlooking
Chiang Mai. I enjoy renting a motorcycle for the day and visiting
the hillltribe village a couple of kilometers past Doi Suthep then
stopping at Doi Suthep on the way back.
You DO NOT have to take the pricey elevator to the temple simply
walk up the stairway at the northern (uphill) section of the site.
The temple complex itself is a lovely serene place where one can
relax, enjoy the views and dancing and spend as much time as you
want.查看详情

“A lovely spend day”
I did some hillwalking with others in this park. Take a taxi to
the Chiang Mai Zoo and from there it's less than kilometre to the
entrance of the park.查看详情

“Pretty..but way too touristy”
Took a ride up the mountain to see the temple. It was definitely
pretty but completely over run with tourists. I expect to be
hassled to buy things on the streets in thailand but at a temple I
think that its just inappropriate. Especially when its 3 and 4 yr
old girls dressed up and asking for money....查看详情

“Must see when visiting Chiang Mai”
The Doi Suthep is touted as one of the must see temples in
Chiang Mai and for a good reason. Situated high in the mountains,
the atmosphere is eerie when visiting early in the morning as it
feels as if clouds where floating through the temple itself.
There are some unusual Buddhas in the temple which were a joy to
see after visiting other temples.
There is a cable car available for 20B if you plan on visiting with
elderly people or disabled people that cannot necessarily put up
with the climb.

Every other year I buy a membership because my child and her cousin love to go. When we heard that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was coming to town we were excited even though it never went to space. Long story short, you don't get to go inside the shuttle. There is very little interactive displays. My sister went to see the one in Washington DC, she

went inside and it was free.
The rest of the museum is as fantastic as ever. The family still enjoys it.
