“Great staff”
While the venue is a bit under what you expect for the entry fee, the staff make up the difference. They take care to show all the insects, including in the excellent butterfly section. Lots of interesting specimens, both live and preserved. Good for kids.查看详情

“Great Fun but check the serious side out!”
This is a fascinating little museum which on the surface looks a lttle eccentric. However its great fun inside especially for kids and anyone not paranoid about insects (If you are a screamer when a beetle coes near you then you probably shouldnt be in Thailand anyway?) Although small the museum s stuffed to the gunnels with every sort of creepy crawly imaginable. However under the surface is a secondary story of the couple who started it and run it today. We met Dr Rampa Rattanarithikul who wit查看详情

“Great collection that the children will love.”
This is a very interesting museum as it displays the life work of a Thai couple and this comes across in the passion with which this collection has been put together. The main focus in on mosquitoes and will certainly give you some appreciation for this very annoying insect. The museum has a lot of odd collections of wood and elephants and other fossils that the couple have collected over the years and this adds to the overall collections appeal. Much of what they have has come directly from Tha查看详情

“Bijzondere collectie!”

“Interesting and fun exhibit”
My 9 year old son loves insects so we went to this exhibit and were pleasantly surprised by the huge collection, both live and dead, of insects and displays. We got to hold some catepillars, leaf bugs, a scorpian and a giant millipede. If you are into bugs, or your kids are, it is worth checking this place out.查看详情

“Whimsical Mixture”
The insect museum is the private collection of a Thai couple, both of whom are entomologists, specialising in mosquitoes. It is a whimsical collection of not just insects but whatever curiosities have caught the owners’ fancy. It includes many carvings of elephants, unusual shaped pieces of wood, fossils, rocks and minerals, Roman coins and much more. Much of the collection is not labeled but there is enough information in English to make it interesting, although I would have liked still more. O查看详情

“Not worth the money”
Don't get me wrong, the displays they have are nice, and they have a few live insects/scorpions/spiders etc, but at 200baht this was one of the more expensive experiences I had. It's not particuarly large, and apart from looking at interesting specimens, I didn't really learn anything. The staff were very friendly and nice.查看详情

“Don't miss this, especially if you like insects”
Having just seen a couple of insect exhibits at major museums in the U.S., I was reminded that I should write a plug for the one in Chiang Mai. It is phenomenal, with the best collection I've ever seen anywhere. The entertainment value is high, too, as the couple who run the place have made great efforts to fill the place with personal written tributes to the mosquito, the cockroach, and other favorites, in endearingly phrased English. Bottom line: this is a beautiful and enormous collection you查看详情

“a bit weird experience but brilliant one!”
Museum of World Insects and Natural Wonders The museum has fascinating collection of domestic and foreign insects including animal fossils. It contains more than 400 species of the Thai mosquito, amongst many other interesting exhibits. It is located at 72 Nimmanhemin, Soi 13 not far away from Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Centre. I was lucky to have a private tour with Mrs. Rampa Rattanarithikul, the wife of the owner Mr. Manop Rattanarithikul the founder of this unique museum.查看详情

“A museum with personality!”
When we got to the museum, we thought it was closed as no one appeared to be there and it didn't seem to be much. However after ringing the doorbell the curator came and let us in. He was a really eccentric elderly man (given the name "Mosquito Man" in Thailand) who has spent 50 years building up his resources and has amassed a really impressive amount and variety of insects. My partner and I are not really into bugs but thought it could be interesting. It was a museum of no other I've seen; it 查看详情

Every other year I buy a membership because my child and her cousin love to go. When we heard that the Space Shuttle Enterprise was coming to town we were excited even though it never went to space. Long story short, you don't get to go inside the shuttle. There is very little interactive displays. My sister went to see the one in Washington DC, she read more went inside and it was free.

The rest of the museum is as fantastic as ever. The family still enjoys it.
